December 6: National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

Today (December 6) is 'National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women'. It was on this day in 1989 when Canada was shaken to its core by a heartbreaking shooting rampage. An attacker deliberately targeting females killed 14 women at a Montreal college.

To honour the victims, this day was chosen to remember those who suffer through violence and to take action to prevent it. Let us all reflect on how we can make a difference to stop violence and create a world of peace.
