Paid Co-op Available

 

Earn secondary credits while you work. 
If you are 21 years of age or older, employed full time and have less than 30 secondary credits: call St. Charles East 5th at 905.575.5202 for a credit assessment and confirm your eligibility

Program Highlights

  • 20 week program:  Pre-placement orientation: 15 hours, followed by Monday-Friday: at the workplace, 3 hours/day.  

    (Note:  Students do not normally receive a salary or wages during the hours designated by the Work Education Agreement)

  • Insurance covered by Workers' Compensation Board through the Ministry of Education

  • Students receive pre-employment orientation and attend an interview with the employer prior to placement

  • Participant progress is monitored, supervised and evaluated by the teacher and employer/supervisor

  • Safety instruction is the joint responsibility of the school and the employer
