Language Millennium Scholarship
About the Scholarship
It is awarded
every year to a
secondary school graduate who has come from a non -English
speaking country to Canada within the last six years and plans to
pursue a post secondary education.
The Millennium Award
was established in 2000 by the English as a Second Language staff and
students at the St. Charles Centres in Hamilton. It began because St. Charles staff wanted to help the
children of our ESL /LINC students that are planning to continue
their education after high school completion.
Every year, the staff and
students of all the St. Charles Centres organize different fundraisers
to raise money for the scholarship.
