Monday, Tuesday, Thursday Nights: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm (150 East 5th Street Location) Please note: You can't register for ESL on Monday nights.

Program Description

Program Description

St. Charles Adult High School allows you to complete your high school credits in two unique ways - self-paced and teacher taught courses.

Teacher taught courses allow you to earn your high school credits through six-week modules within a teacher taught classroom setting during the day. Students are expected to attend class each day and may be withdrawn from class after 3 or more absences. Quizzes, mid-term and final exams will be given by the classroom teacher. All course work will be taught by the classroom teacher.

Who May Apply

1. Adults 18 years of age or older.
2. No longer attending a secondary school (students 18 to 21 must have a letter from their last school, signed by the Principal or designate, stating that the student is no longer registered at that school).
3. Eligible to attend school in Ontario.
4. CLB Level 6 (Newcomers to Canada only).

How To Register

Step 1

Step 2
Come in for your appointment with the following documents:

1. Official high school transcript (contact your former school if you don't have it)
2. Students who are currently enrolled in high school or have been away from high school for less than a year must get a letter of release stating they are no longer registered. Please contact your former school if you do not have this.
3. Photo ID
4. Proof of Ontario residency
5. $25 book deposit (we take cash, debit, and Visa). Deposit refunded upon return of book.
6. Immigration Documentation (for landed immigrants or refugees)

Step 3

Your start date can be as early as the next module. Please note---all our teacher taught modules are 6 weeks in length.

Fees

There are no tuition or registration fees for St. Charles credit programs. Students must pay a $25.00 refundable book deposit prior to attending class. This fee is returned to the student upon the return of all textbooks used during the class.
