St. Charles takes adult ESL/LINC learners on journey of discovery

For the 1,100 adult learners who enrol in ESL/LINC classes at St. Charles Adult & Continuing Education Centres each semester, learning English is often the most difficult part of the journey from their homeland to new land.

“We guide them on their journey,” says ESL/LINC Instructor, Dale Dobson. “That’s what we do.”

Seeing the learners grow in confidence as their language skills develop is the best aspect of the job. “Once they learn the language, Canada begins to feel like home.”
