Passport to Grade 9 Summer Program

Registration is now open for the Passport to Grade 9 Summer Program. Passport to Grade 9 is a two-day program which orients new grade 9 students to their secondary school while focusing on improving literacy and numeracy skills through rich learning tasks.

The program is taught by fully qualified teachers and focuses on preparing students for the major differences between their elementary experience and their upcoming secondary school journey.

Program dates: Monday, August 30 & Tuesday, August 31, 2021

Registration closes on July 9, 2021.

Grade 9 Literacy and Math Prep Course

The Grade 9 Summer Math Prep Course is a two-week program that prepares students for the grade 9 math curriculum. Students will review grade 8 materials before touching on grade 9 math concepts. Topics will include fractions, integers, solving equations, ratios and rates, and other important curriculum expectations.

The program will include a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning. Access to an electronic device is required.

Program dates: July 19-30 and August 9-20 , 2021

Grade 9 Summer Literacy Prep Course

The Grade 9 Summer Literacy Prep Course is a two-week program that prepares students for grade 9 English and helps develop critical cross-curricular literacy skills. The program will address the following skills: reading, writing, speaking & listening, and research.

The program will include a blend of synchronous and asynchronous learning. Access to an electronic device is required.

Program dates: July 19-30 and August 9-20, 2021
