October 21-25, 2024 is National School Bus Safety Week. Held each year during the third full week of October, National School Bus Safety Week is an active and evolving public education program, and an excellent way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators and other interested parties to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety.
Each day, 20,000 school buses transport over 833,000 Ontario students to school. While school buses are one of the safest ways to get to school, it’s important for motorists, parents, caregivers and students to know how to keep children safe when they are on and around school buses.
